We invite you to discover what makes us tick.

ABOUT KIRKWOOD CONCRETE
Taking over a small premises in the quaint town of Kirkwood at the end of 2015, we adapted the premises and opened our doors in March 2016. Starting of with only 140mm Building Blocks (M6), we have increased our range to 90mm Building Blocks (M4), 72mm Stock Bricks and lintels ranging from 0.9m to 6m, in widths of 108mm and 150mm. All our products are strictly manufactured with 42.5 strength cement, and quartzitic stone aggregate. Not making use of an automated system results in more manual labour, thus creating employment within the community. We are currently listed suppliers to the following leading groups: CashBuild SA/P&L Hardware, Build-It/Spar and Die Humansdorp Koöperasie Group. We are a registered VAT vendor.

SO WHY OPT FOR CONCRETE?
Over the years, concrete has been proven to be a very durable option for builders and civil engineers, and withstands any weather conditions. It is very cost effective and manufactured through natural processes, thus becoming the preferred method of building in many parts of Asia, Europe and the USA. The reasoning behind this is also due to the fact that foundations are poured with concrete, thus building with concrete blocks enables the foundation and the erected structure to expand/contract and move more in harmony with earth movement and fluctuating climate temperatures.
